Practical Travel Info
Getting the logistics right is the secret to a stress-free escape. We know that long-haul travel comes with a different set of rules, from shifting visa policies to local customs that aren’t always found in a guidebook. We’ve compiled the most practical, 'boots-on-the-ground' information to ensure you spend less time worrying about the details and more time soaking in the destination.
Visa & Entry Requirements
Thailand: Most travelers receive a 30-day visa-free entry. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months.
Morocco: Generally visa-free for most European/US citizens for up to 90 days.
Indonesia (Bali): Requires a Visa on Arrival (VoA). While you can pay at the airport, we recommend applying for the e-VoA online to skip the queues.
Tap Water: Never drink it. Use bottled water even for brushing your teeth. In reputable hotels, ice is made from purified water and is safe.
Vaccines: No mandatory vaccines are required for these specific routes, but being up-to-date on routine shots is always recommended.
Sun Protection: The tropical sun is significantly stronger than in Europe; high-factor SPF (50) is a necessity.
Cards vs. Cash: Revolut and standard cards work in hotels and malls. However, local markets, street food, and small transport (Tuk-Tuks) are strictly cash-only.
ATMs: Always use ATMs located inside bank branches for better security and exchange rates.
We recommend buying a local SIM at the airport or using an eSIM app. 10GB of data usually costs under €15 and is vital for maps and translation.
Smart Apps: Download Grab or Gojek for Bali and Thailand, it works just like Uber and ensures you get a fair, fixed price every time.
Morocco Taxis: Always agree on the price before the car starts moving to avoid surprises at your destination.
